We
always fear of our enemies. We, in every step of our life find an enemy for
whom we believe that our effort will go in vain. Behind every failure we
suppose that there is an enemy. Finding an enemy in everyone is nothing but narrow-mindedness;
a suspicious mind not only loses a good friend but also summons unrest in a
family.
This
is a general mistake nine out of ten persons do. We should refrain ourselves to
find our enemies in outer world & if focus our attention to inward
direction of our mind then we can detect the original enemies. As per Hindu theology
there are six main enemies lying in ourselves. Those are - kama (desire),
krodha (anger), lobha (greed), Mada (arrogance), moha (delusion), and matsarya
(jealousy).
Every desire in our mind wants to be fulfilled;
there is no end of desires, one comes after one is attained. These all desires
are materialistic in terms obviously. Most of the people start journey after
their desires but do not know where to stop. Some even use hook or crook method
to avail fulfillment of their desires & confine themselves in the lifelong
agony.
Anger is our another enemy which snatches our judgement
power & perverts us to commit an unwanted happening for which we regret
afterwards.
Greed is such kind of enemy which set our
aspirations or longings to the infinite limit. Wanting more & more attitude
is greed, for which we deprive others to have their shares. And thus the inequality
is created in the society.
Arrogance refrain us to respect others &
teaches us hatred. An arrogant man can never be a good friend because he always
fancifully sets himself on the higher position above all, so everybody avoids
him carefully.
Most of us have delusion about our original identity;
we think that our total entity is our body; this mindset encourages us to
gather all which will be relished by this body only. Delusion impairs our minds
to have a broader view of life & invites disappointment.
Jealousy makes us mean-minded, we cannot be
happy to see other’s happiness or success. Out of jealousy we pray for other’s unhappiness,
a jealous man becomes happy when he sees other in discomfort or in problem.
To sum up all, it is easily realized that our
enemies are none but the negativities hidden in ourselves; to win over them we
must inculcate positivity with strong resolve.
So friends I have found out your enemies, now start
fighting vigorously; victory will be yours.
